These residual check valves reduce brake fluid bleed back which is caused by drum brake return springs and road vibration. Bleed back causes an initial low brake pedal feel, the result is a firmer more consistent brake pedal.
Specify 2 lbs. for disc applications and 10 lbs. for drum brake applications.
