When identifying a seamed or seamless frame, you must look at the top of the frame just below the firewall and rearward of the upper control arm. If it is smooth it is seamless, if it is welded it is seamed.

I have a '57 belair and looking to purchase the correct side engine mount kit for my 350 engine. Can you tell me how to identify if I have a seamed or seamless chassis. The main chassis is seamless but the cross member does not seem to have the 'hole' for the alignment of the first bolt that is referred to in the drawing or instructions on your website for this kit. Does this mean I have a seamed chassis? Your clarification would be most helpful.
Thanks, Peter
