Our 1955-59 2nd series Chevy and GMC Truck Front Power Disc Brake Conversion kit is great for the enthusiast who wants the added safety but Classic look! These kits work very well and use popular GM brake parts. These kits mount to the original straight axle using the factory 6 x 5.5" lug pattern.
Kit includes:
- 12" x 1.250" Brake Rotors (6-lug)
- 6 x 5.5 Bolt pattern
- D52 Brake Calipers w/brake pads
- Dust caps and spindle nuts
- Rubber Brake Hoses
- Mounting Brackets
- 7" dual diaphragm booster
- 1.00" bore master cylinder
- Prop Valve
- Hardware
Available upgrades:
- Drilled and Slotted Rotors (shown in picture), Add $84.65pr. Zinc plating included with rotor upgrade
- Powder coated calipers available in red or black, Add $42.86pr
- Stainless braided hoses, Add $49.00pr
Notes:
May not work with factory 15" drum brake wheels
Transmission cross member may need to be replaced. May not clear on vehicles with oversize or manual transmissions
This kit utilizes original wheel hubs which came with ball bearings. Tapered Roller bearing upgrade is available
