1959 Chevy 3100 Apache Stepside

In 1999 my son bought this truck it was a basket case we put it in my heated shop! I bought it off of him so he and his new wife could have a down payment for a home! It sat in the corner for many years do to work and family obligations I would tinker on it but not much effort. After retiring for the 3rd time in 2016 my enjoyment was riding my Harley Davidson trike but, after getting side swiped and being in a coma for 4 weeks I decided done with motorcycles. So I started this build after installing disc brakes all 4 wheels, I installed a power steering unit for straight axle that I got from POL so easy to install. The bed work was done last winter. The motor is a 350 now 383 stroker, 700R4 trans. hooked to a camaro pos.trac rearend! The picture is Sept 1st 2018 where my school teacher girlfriend and I got married in my backyard. The truck seeing daylight for the first time in 18 yrs.  Since then I have completely finished the bed sides, fenders, driver side is dished and I have the original spare tire carrier for that. The paint of the metal is the only thing hired out; color chosen for the truck is 1996 HD Mystic green. Using different companies for parts POL is a favorite one that I really like working with. Now I have moved to the inside of the cab final completion time this spring. My new wife wants to go to car shows and show off our beauty!!

Thank you POL.
