1960-91 Chevy C10, C20 & C30 Truck Suspension Parts

More than three decades of Chevy trucks are represented here, and the suspension underneath them changed along the way. POL covers that long production span with parts for specific C10 generations and selected C20 and C30 applications, including stock-height and lowered coil-spring packages, trailing-arm components, sway bars, rear 4-link systems, and independent front suspension options.

Four Truck Eras Make Fitment the First Part of the Build

Thirty-one model years create several different suspension eras within this collection. Key breaks occur at 1960-62, 1963-66, 1967-72, and 1973-91, with each range bringing its own mix of springs, spindles, rear suspension hardware, and chassis-specific systems.

The 1960s and early 1970s are especially tied to the coil-spring and trailing-arm layout. Stage 2 packages can retain stock height or lower the truck, while tubular trailing arms, Panhard bars, axle hardware, and shock-relocation components let you change the rear suspension without abandoning its original architecture.

More extensive builds branch away from that foundation. Heidts independent front suspension appears for 1967-72 trucks, while 4-link systems create a different rear suspension path across later C10 applications. Sway bars and other individual components remain available for trucks that need targeted changes rather than a complete suspension redesign.

C20 and C30 trucks share the collection title but not every C10 component. Their heavier-duty suspension hardware follows its own product-level fitment, making truck series just as important as the year break when moving through this collection.

FAQ

What suspension parts are available for 1960-91 Chevy C10 trucks?

POL's C10 suspension range includes coil springs, trailing arms, suspension packages, sway bars, 4-link systems, IFS components, shocks, spindles, suspension rebuild parts, Panhard bars, spring hardware, and related components. The vehicle-specific collection currently displays 23 products, although several items in its grid are unrelated to suspension.

Are stock-height suspension kits available for Chevy C10 trucks?

Yes. POL currently lists Stage 2 stock-height coil-spring suspension packages for 1963-64 and 1965-72 C10 trucks. Lowered versions are also available, allowing the suspension to be addressed without making lowering mandatory.

Can I lower a 1960-91 Chevy C10?

POL carries multiple components for lowered C10 applications, including lowered coil springs, rear lowering blocks, drop spindles, and Stage 2 lowered suspension packages. Exact options vary substantially by generation, so the truck's year should be established before choosing the amount or method of lowering.

Are tubular trailing arms available for classic C10 trucks?

Yes. The live collection includes a POL tubular trailing-arm set for 1960-72 Chevy C10 trucks, along with dedicated mounting hardware. POL's broader rear suspension selection also contains bushings, axle seats, Panhard bars, and other parts associated with the coil-spring rear suspension.

Can I convert a C10 to 4-link rear suspension?

Yes. The collection includes a 1973-87 Chevy/GMC truck 4-link suspension kit and a heavy-duty rear 4-link covering 1967-87 C10 applications. Verify the specific frame, axle, ride-height, and mounting requirements of the chosen system before ordering.

Are C10 suspension parts the same across 1960-91 trucks?

No. POL itself divides the range into 1960-62, 1963-66, 1967-72, and 1973-91 groups, while many individual products use even narrower fitment ranges. Spindles, springs, suspension kits, trailing-arm components, and other parts should always be selected by the specific truck generation.

Do these suspension parts also fit C20 and C30 trucks?

Some do, but C10 fitment should not be assumed to carry over. POL specifically notes that most components are available for C10 applications and that C20/C30 applications are identified separately. Always use the individual product's stated model and weight-series fitment.
